Meeting geek – how iPad changed my meetings

Tomorrow is a big day for all Apple fans and for the competition too. On March 7th Apple is unveiling the third generation of iPad. The tablet mania spread in April 2010 when the trendsetter from Cupertino stormed through the market with the revolutionary iPad. For users of existing iOS devices this was a completely new experience, a new dimension. The success was refueled a year later in a typical Jobs manner.

Quickly new apps for meeting industry emerged. Some of them simply jumped from iPhone to iPad and some of them were developed just for iPads. Meeting and conference attendees now massively use these tools to interact with peers or monitor the lecturer. You can get your meeting app. However, I will sometimes stick to pre-installed apps for presentation such as Mail, Notes, iBooks and iTunes. And why not, they are easy to use, clear and instant. Another way to easily take minutes of the important meetings is a QuickVoice® Recorder, incredibly useful for briefings with concise information, later conveyed to my team. I have to admit, I’m way too lazy to take  notes, so I use my camera to take photos of the flipchart or my neighbour’s notes. I know for sure one app will change my presentation at trade shows forever. It will begin with IMEX 2012 and successfully continue our story. You will not find this app in App store or Android market. Welcome to Frankfurt!
